Tenimenti d’Alessandro is located in Cortona in the province of Arezzo, in southern Tuscany on the border with Abruzzo. The area was at the time almost completely unknown to the world for its wines. Thanks to ambition and passion of the d’Alessandro family and a series of interested, expert scholars and oenologists, today the wines of this area, and of this particular Estate, have attracted attention from all over the world.
The d’Alessandro family purchased the Fattoria di Manzano in 1967, but it was only at the end of the 1980s that, thanks to the support of the wine luminary Attilio Scienza, the first Syrah vineyard was planted. The studies proved it the most suitable variety for this specific territory. At this point, the family asked for the advice of Luca Currado, oenologist of the Vietti Company in the Langhe, and of Christine Vernay, owner of the Domaine Georges Vernay in Condrieu. And in fact the results are not to be waited too much.
2006 is the first vintage of what will prove to be the “champion” of the company: Migliara, a 100% Syrah from a selection of vines coming from the vineyard of the same name, which immediately met international success.
Elegant and intense, it strikes on the nose and in the mouth for the exuberance of dark berries, spices, black pepper and game, with a vibrant mineral and saline note to cleanse the mouth.
Refined, with a long finish.

Suggestion to open it about 1 to 2 hours before serving it. And let it breath in the glass as well.
Fermentation in oak, the aging in barriques, big casks, concrete and then in the bottle. Released on the market 3 years after the harvest.
