Description:
Moccagatta, located in Barbaresco, is an entirely family-run winery, producing wine exclusively from its own vines, representing the Barolo&Barbaresco “modernist” style with a balanced and very contemporary approach.
Bric Balin is a perfect example of such style. This Barbaresco comes from a west-exposed single vineyard at 250-300 meters above sea level, right below the property itself. The vines are 35 to more than 60 uears old on blu-marl calcareaous soils, typical of the area. These qualities, matched with care and selection in vineyards and technique in the cellar, produces this “signature” wine, ambassador of both its terroir and the winery style.
