Description:
Nizza Pontiselli comes from the homonym area located on the
western border of the appelation area. Situated in the municipality of
Agliano Terme, Pontiselli is one of the most traditional and suitable
areas for the production of Barbera. Produced in a very limited
amount of bottles, this Nizza interprets the typicity of this specific
area.
The vineyards, 180-200 mt. above sea level, south exposed, are composed b soil rich in lime marl, with a silty-clay texture.
2017 is the first release for this new label of Coppo family.
Tasting Notes and Pairing:
To the nose, fruity notes distinctive of the variety: blackberry, blackcurrant.
To the mouth: fresh acidity, long persistence and a very subtle tannic
structure.
The producer suggests pairing it with local gnocchi with porcini mushrooms or a green pepper fillet.

Integrated pest control management, according to Piedmont Region guidelines.
Production method and aging:
Maceration with skin contact with short
and soft pumping over the skin cap. 14 months in oak barriques.
