Description:
In the mind of the Rocca family, Currà is the “promised land” (cit.). A cru, in the municipality of Neive, where the winery invested since 2012. 2015 is the first Barbaresco with this label (2012-2014 it was Riserva only).
The sensibility for the land is typical of this producer from the foundation of the winery in 1978 (hence, the motto “our land, not the producer, is inscribed on the wine”) but the family was in the viticulture field since the XIX Centrury.
The winery has always based its production on a culture of wine strictly interlaced with the respect for nature, soils and vines, so much so that the winery has built-up during the years an “archive” of clones.
Currà is a very special cru, as it combines together the traits of both Neive’s typical Barbarescos, expressivity and richness, with those of Barbaresco, elegance and perfumes. The soil is rich in mineral components, sand and limestone.
